Hello!

I’m excited to take part in the Spartan Race at Fenway Park, but this race means so much more to me than just a challenge. It’s an opportunity to raise awareness for my cousin Gio and his battle with Duchenne muscular dystrophy. This condition slowly weakens his muscles, making even the simplest daily tasks—like walking or lifting—an uphill struggle. Watching him face these challenges with strength and resilience inspires me more than I can put into words.

Duchenne muscular dystrophy doesn’t just affect the body; it impacts every part of a person’s life and their loved ones’. It’s a journey of constant adaptation, and yet, Gio meets every day with a smile. I’m racing for him, for others like him, and in hopes of one day seeing a cure.
