Story
Hey ya'll,
I'm taking part in one of the biggest fitness challenges there is... a Spartan Race!
I will be mentally and physically pushing myself to the limit, both in training and on race day, but this is nothing close to the mental and physical challenges to those battling cancer. To help make a difference for a cause that's close to my heart and worthy of this effort, I will be running in honor of my best and dearest friend, Shanna Sapienza.
If you know Shanna, you know she is the light of everyone's life and incredibly hard working to make a difference in this world. While undergoing her cancer battle, she worked full time and finished her Doctorate in Nursing Practice. Her strength and perseverance are indescribable. It is a honor to run this in her name and have the proceeds contribute to an organization that supports survivors and cancer research.
