Story
Friends,
I'm taking part in one of the hardest half marathon courses in America... the BIG BEAR SPARTAN RACE.
I will be mentally and physically pushing myself to the limit, both in training and on race day, to help make a difference for a cause that's close to my heart and worthy of this effort.
Food has mushroomed into a passion that has taken over my life. I am fascinated by the physiological impact of nutrition, the art and impact of food creation and cross-cultural learning, and the food systems set in place throughout our world. After learning more about food advocacy at UCLA, I have realized the depth of inequities in our food systems, and am driven to make a change. I am raising money for 'Blessing in a Backpack', a non-profit focused on helping children who don't have access to food outside of school.
