Story
Dear Chasey,
It's been almost 6 years since you left us. You'll be 16 on February 3rd, a few weeks after I post this.
How are we still here? I honestly don't know. But here we are. Ryder misses you but is thriving in so many ways. I know that's partially you at work.
I'm okay. I help people in my work and I am grateful for all the people surrounding me that help me be okay. And you'd be proud of me because in the last few years I've found myself again. Your mommy that loves to ride and run and be outside and find cool adventures!!
So I found a new adventure this year. It's sorta silly, I just run 13.1 miles on a trail and do some obstacles, climb things, and lift heavy stuff. Nothing like you had to endure. No radiation. No drugs. No brain cancer. No not getting to grow up.
So Mommy's in. I don't have ANY clue what I'm doing. This is way out of my comfort zone, but I suspect brain cancer isn't in any child's comfort zone. So I'll be fine. But I'm asking people to donate in your name so I can make a difference for kids like you, who deserved so much more. Maybe even $16 for your 16th birthday?
💚I love you Chasey 💚 We miss you.
Mommy "MB" to you :)
