Dear Friends and Family,

I've decided to take on a big challenge this year.  I'm going to complete not just one Spartan race, but a Spartan trifecta.  That means three races of increasing difficulty in one calendar year, culminating in a half marathon-length race.  That's something I've never even come close to attempting before!

I will be mentally and physically pushing myself to the limit, both in training and on race day.  I think this will have lots of personal benefits, but I don't want to do this just for myself.  I want this effort to benefit a good cause, too.  This past year, I've gotten involved with a local food bank/food rescue organization called Food Finders.  So I've decided to also take on the challenge of raising $1,000 for Food Finders by the time I complete my final race in November. 

Can you please help me in meeting my goals?  Any amount is appreciated, and I'll feel the support from those donations as I slog through my log training runs.

I already completed my 5K "Sprint" race at Dodger stadium last month.  It went great!  I beat my previous time by a half an hour, and mastered 2 obstacles that I couldn't complete during my first Spartan race last year.  

My next race, a 10K Spartan "Super" will be taking place on April 13th.  And then I'm aiming to complete the "Beast" on November 2nd.  I would love your support!  (Moral and otherwise!)
