Story
Hello,
As you may already know, I participate in a variety of race, fitness, and adventure type events. These include Spartan and Tough Mudder races (Obstacle course based), DEKA (Fitness based), and Highlander (Multi-day backpacking adventures)
By doing these events I am mentally and physically pushing myself to the limit, both in training and on event day(s). I do these so that I can better myself and maybe even to make a difference in someone else's life.
For this reason, I have decided to partner with a charitable organization in the hopes of raising donations to help 2 causes that are very dear to me: Veterans and Rescue Dogs. Determined to end veteran suicide, K9s For Warriors provides highly trained Service Dogs to military veterans suffering from PTSD, traumatic brain injury and/or military sexual trauma. With the majority of dogs coming from high-kill rescue shelters, this innovative program allows the K9/Warrior team to build an unwavering bond that facilitates their collective healing and recovery.
If you would like to participate with me and support this cause as well, you can help by making a secure online donation and by posting a message of support. Any contribution small or large is greatly appreciated!
Donations made through this platform are secure and will be remitted directly to this charity and a tax receipt automatically issued to you.
Thanks so much for your support!
