It doesn't sit right with me to know that there are children and families around the globe suffering from preventable disease and death while I live a life of endless comforts and entertainment. 

I sought out the most reputable and rigorously scrutinized non-profit organization that maximized impact per dollar globally, tackling healthcare issues all over the planet. The organization is called Evidence Action.

In order to raise money, I'm taking part in what's widely considered the most challenging obstacle race... a Spartan Race! I will be running a 10K with 25+ obstacles on August 25th. 

I will be training daily for this race; long-distance running is new for me! I haven't run over 2 miles since probably 6th grade...

I will be mentally and physically pushing myself to the limit to compete to be my absolute best. Most people don't attempt the 10K Spartan Race distance until completing multiple 5Ks, but I'm jumping right in.
