ALS Research Fund (In Memory of Uncle Paul)
ALS Research Fund (In Memory of Uncle Paul)
Story
Family & Friends-
I'm taking part in year 2 of my Spartan Race journey and pushing myself this time around by taking on the "Beast", encompassing 13 miles and 30 obstacles.
I will be mentally and physically pushing myself to the limit, both in training and on race day. My battle pales in comparison to what many have to go through who suffer from ALS. Last year my Uncle Paul passed away from the disease as it quickly took over his body. To help make a difference towards research around this disease I decided to partake in this fundraiser.
Please help me reach my fundraising goal by making a secure online donation; any contribution small or large is greatly appreciated.
Donations made through this platform are secure and will be remitted directly to my charity of choice and a tax receipt automatically issued to you.
Thanks so much to all of you for your support. Life is too short and many of us are fortunate enough to be able to push our mental/physical selves to the limit. I believe we should always strive to find what we are capable of and honor those who left us too early.
Target ALS Foundation Inc
Target ALS is a 501(c)(3) public charity committed to the search for effective treatments for Amyotrophic Lateral Sclerosis (ALS), also known as Lou Gehrig’s disease. Founded in 2013 by former New York City deputy mayor Dan Doctoroff—who lost both his father and uncle to ALS—our approach is breaking down barriers that previously inhibited research results. Our Target ALS Innovation Ecosystem has revolutionized the field by facilitating unparalleled scientific collaboration and democratizing access to critically-needed research tools. As a result, projects fueled by Target ALS have led to five clinical trials in just seven years.
